Doing some dungeon delving? Need some locations to beef up your fantasy or sci-fi campaign setting? Just want to do a fun writing exercise to think about alternate worlds and places?

Try my Simple Dungeon Generator! All you need is a d8, d10, and d20 (or a whole polyhedral set if you want to use  the dungeon size generator table), and after 6 rolls you have a bunch of interesting qualities to throw together and fit into whatever setting you are using!

Examples of my own using the generator:

"A sewer system from antiquity repurposed as a crypt. Lurking within the pipes is a monster that was trapped when the original sewer closed down."

"The castle was host to a king that founded a religion based on blood. The windows are all enchanted to shine a gorgeous afternoon light depicting imagery of his ascent to power. Within is the last resident of the castle, a spirit that was the last sacrifice ever made on the castle grounds."

"A deep, deep ravine where one side is always breathed in light and one side is shrouded in darkness. People on either side of the ravine lead totally different lives and have different cultures than their counterparts across the ravine. Both sides are threatened by a creature that can only be seen when the light is the brightest or the darkness is the darkest. It is key to understanding how this location functions."

Too often I felt like other dungeon generators felt too specific or too unspecific to provide me with any real support on designing my own places. I made this table-based generator to aid my writing and designing process and maybe it can help you too!
